Shape, Space and Measures

• Volume of a cuboid
• Street directions (turn left, 2nd right etc)
• Scale drawings
• Number patterns (completing tables)
Unit 3
Numeracy
• Basic Arithmetic
- Whole numbers ( + , - , x , ÷ )
- Decimals ( + , - , x , ÷ )
- Fractions ( + , - )
- Percentage of an amount
• Measuring and reading scales
• Probability (likelihood)
Assessment
You need to pass three component
units in the course.
The titles of the three component units are:
• Managing Money
• Shape, Space and Measures
• Numeracy
Progression
Successful completion of the National 3 Lifeskills Course can be followed by National 4 Maths (over two years if necessary) in S5/S6.
